How Pasadena Clinical Group uses cookies and similar technologies on our Website — with full California disclosures, your CCPA/CPRA rights, GPC support, and how to manage your preferences.

Effective April 28, 2026 · Last updated April 28, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Pasadena Clinical Group ("Pasadena Clinical Group," "PCG," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on www.pasadenaclinicalgroup.com (the "Website"). It supplements our Privacy Policy and provides additional information for California residents in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies

A "cookie" is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the site. Similar technologies referenced in this Policy include:

  • Web beacons (or pixel tags): Tiny graphic files used to track Website usage or email engagement.
  • Local storage: Browser-based storage that holds data on your device for longer than a session, such as localStorage and sessionStorage.
  • Server logs: Records of basic information about your interaction with the Website (e.g., IP address, page viewed, timestamp).
  • Software development kits (SDKs): Code embedded in mobile or other applications, where applicable.

For brevity, this Policy uses the term "cookies" to refer collectively to all of these technologies.

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

(a) Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually only set in response to actions you take, such as setting your privacy preferences. Disabling these cookies may break parts of the Website. Examples include:

  • A cookie that records your cookie-consent preference (so the banner does not reappear)
  • A cookie that maintains your session if you submit a form
  • Security cookies that protect against cross-site request forgery

(b) Performance and Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Website by collecting and reporting aggregate, non-identifying information. They may include privacy-respecting analytics tools. We use this information to improve the Website's structure, content, and accessibility. You can decline non-essential analytics cookies through our cookie banner.

(c) Functional / Preference Cookies

If applicable, these cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering preferences. As of the date of this Policy, we do not use functional cookies that go beyond strictly necessary functions; if we begin using such cookies in the future, we will update this Policy and our cookie banner accordingly.

(d) Targeting / Advertising Cookies

We do not currently use targeting or advertising cookies. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law. We do not knowingly allow third parties to drop advertising cookies through the Website.

3. Specific Cookies and Storage We Use

The following describes the specific items currently in use on the Website. We will update this section if our usage changes.

  • pcg_cookie_consent_v1 — Local-storage entry. Purpose: remembers your cookie-banner choice (accepted, declined, not yet chosen). First-party. Retention: until you clear browser storage or change preference. Strictly necessary.
  • Server log entries — Standard web-server logs containing IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp. Purpose: security, abuse detection, debugging. Retention: typically thirty (30) to ninety (90) days.

If we add additional cookies (e.g., a privacy-respecting analytics tool), we will list them here with their specific purposes and retention periods, and we will update the cookie banner to allow you to opt in or out as required by law.

4. Session Cookies and Persistent Cookies

  • Session cookies are temporary and are erased when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. The pcg_cookie_consent_v1 entry is persistent (stored in your browser's local storage) so that the banner does not reappear after you have made a choice.

5. First-Party and Third-Party Cookies

  • First-party cookies are set by the Website you are visiting (Pasadena Clinical Group). All cookies described in Section 3 are first-party.
  • Third-party cookies are set by domains other than the one you are visiting (for example, embedded videos or analytics providers). We do not currently use third-party cookies. If we add a third-party service, we will update this Policy with the third party's name, purpose, and link to that third party's privacy notice.

6. We Do Not Sell or Share Personal Information

Pasadena Clinical Group does not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA and CPRA. We have not sold or shared the personal information of California residents in the preceding twelve (12) months, including the personal information of any consumers under sixteen (16) years of age.

7. Sensitive Personal Information

We do not use cookies or similar technologies to infer characteristics about you, to engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant decisions, or to process "sensitive personal information" (as defined under California law) for purposes other than those expressly authorized by California Civil Code § 1798.121.

8. Your Cookie Choices

(a) Cookie Banner

When you first visit the Website, a cookie banner provides you with the option to Accept all or Decline non-essential cookies. Your choice is recorded in your browser's local storage so that the banner does not reappear on subsequent visits.

(b) Reopening the Banner

You may revisit your choice at any time by clicking the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our footer.

(c) Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies. Common locations:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
  • Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

Disabling cookies in your browser may affect Website functionality.

(d) Global Privacy Control (GPC)

Our Website is configured to recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. When we detect a GPC signal from your browser, we will treat the browser/device as having opted out, regardless of any prior banner choice. To learn more, visit globalprivacycontrol.org.

(e) Third-Party Opt-Out Tools

Industry tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) and Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) opt-out pages may help you manage advertising cookies set by participating third parties on other websites. Because we do not currently use advertising cookies, these tools are not directly applicable to our Website.

9. Your California Privacy Rights

California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
  • Request access to and a copy of personal information we hold about them
  • Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share)
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information
  • Be free from retaliation for exercising their CCPA rights

To exercise these rights, see Section 9 of our Privacy Policy.

10. Children's Privacy

The Website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13) through cookies or any other means. We do not sell or share the personal information of any consumer under the age of sixteen (16).

11. Mobile Devices

Most mobile browsers and operating systems offer settings to limit ad tracking. On Apple iOS, see Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, see Settings > Google > Ads. These settings affect tracking generally and not just on our Website.

12. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Website.
